  • What is furnace / boiler maintenance?
    Checking over your heating system should be a service you have done yearly. Every appliance whether it is a furnace or boiler has sensors, heat exchangers, piping, moving parts and some also have drains that need to be checked to ensure they are running as well and efficiently as possible. Little problems can turn into expensive or very inconvenient problems that happen at the worst times. Cut down the probability of a breakdown with a Service and Maintenance plan from the professionals.
  • How can I make my furnace more efficient?
    Changing your furnace filter is the best way for everyone to help your furnace operate efficiently. Changing seasonly is recommended. - Having a digital programmable or wifi thermostat is also a way to be more efficient. Program a schedule for when you are away at work, sleeping or on holidays.
  • What type of maintenance is needed for a water tank?
    Whether it is a tank type or tankless water heater they require maintenance. Yearly maintenance is recommended - Tank type is a good idea to flush out the tank to prevent sediment and debris from collecting on the bottom. Also there are safety devices, sensors, electrical components, gas burner, Anode rods, dip tube inside the tank that can be checked to make sure your tank is operating at its best. - Tankless type requires a yearly maintenance to ensure your warranty stays intact. Flushing of the heat exchanger, checking sensors, safety devices, moving parts, electrical components, gas burner and drains that need to be checked to make sure your tankless unit is operating at its best.
  • How can I get my hot water tank to last longer?
    In short, regular yearly maintenance of your tank or tankless type water heater is the best way to extend the life of your water heater. There is also a lot of water heater manufacturers that offer extended warranty which is available when you purchase a new water heater and sometimes can even be extended after years of being installed.
  • How do I know if my drains are clogged?
    Slow draining shower, sink or toilet is the sign your drains need to be checked before it gets clogged and you need emergency help. - Gurgling or Bubbling drain is a sure sign that your drain system is in need of help. Every drain system needs air to work properly and if its gurgling or bubbling that is the system searching for air which is a sign for you to get it checked out before it’s a real problem. - Water coming out of the floor drain in the basement/mechanical room - If your running water at one fixture and its showing up at another fixture ( toilet, sink, tub, shower to name a few ) - Give us a call we can test, inspect and check for you if you have concerns.
  • How do I keep cleaner drains?
    Do not put flushable wipes, rags, paper towels or heavy organic materials down the drains. Drain systems have issues with proper sloping, pipe breaking down, build-ups that will have a direct impact on the ability to move items down the drain. Injecting items that don’t need to go down the drain causes these problems. Plus it also impacts your community treatment plants infrastructure which can lead to costly repairs that will ultimately come back to you to pay for. Toss them in the trash as much as possible.
